A quote from the House of Commons report notes: "...He had said that if Parliament would agree to acknowledge the independence of America, we might begin a treaty to-morrow...Lord George Germaine said...that if we were inclined to acknowledge the independence of America, we might begin a negociation tomorrow. He was given to understand that the congress had made that the preliminary article of any treaty that might be set on foot..." with more talk concerning America. A Small item mentions: "Advice is said to be received...that the Congress have hung ten prisoners in return for the same number executed by Lord Cornwallis."
Near the back are several illustrated ads for ships bound for New York and Charleston. Eight pages, 9 by 12 inches, an upper corner missing from the front leaf does not affect any mentioned reports, very nice condition.
