FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, January 8, 1859 The front page of this issue contains an article entitled "Transportation of Army Supplies to Utah" which also features a half page illustration of a "(wagon) train corralled" entitle "Transportation of Supplies to Utah - Yoking Cattle" with an additional quarter page illustration inside entitled "Government Train en Route to Utah". Also inside the issue is an article "The Return of the Captured Africans" which includes several illustrations "Morning Ablutions of the Negroes"; "Burying the Dead at Sea"; "Landing Scene at Porto Praya"; "Group of Negroes on Board the Niagara"; and "Visiting the Sick, and Distribution of Medicine". Additional articles, illustrations and advertisements are within.
This is an uncut issue with some small edge tears, lite scattered foxing, otherwise in good condition.
