THE EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, April 15, 1766

* re. The Stamp Act
* In a British paper

Inside has a short item: "The trade to America does not seem to be in so flourishing a way as represented in the public papers, many merchants rather chuse to get home their money than to increase the debt by sending out more goods. The late behaviour of the Americans in threatening to stop remitting their just debts in case the stamp act was not repealed has diminished their credit with the merchants." (see)
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, never-trimmed margins, full red tax stamp on the back page, very nice condition.
