THE EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, Dec. 31, 1765 A response to the King from members of the House of Commons pledges that: "...we will not fail...to apply ourselves with the utmost diligence & attention to those important occurrences in America which your Majesty recommends to our consideration..." (see).
A letter from New York states: "...from the Illinois. They say that every thing is now settled & quiet with the Indians...Pontiac behaved extremely well to Col. Cochran..." (see).
A letter from Philadelphia includes: "...meeting of the merchants & traders...resolved by them...that they would not import any goods from Britain until the stamp act was repealed..." (see).
Another page has over a full column with much detail from South Carolina concerning the plight of a stamp distributor there (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, never-trimmed margins, lightly inked tax stamp on the back page, nice condition.
