SUPPLEMENT TO THE NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, May 11, 1849  The front page includes: "Emancipation in Kentucky--The Convention at Frankfort" "Saratoga--Lake Champlain" "First Attempt to Navigate Across the Isthmus of Panama" "Boxing Negroes--Or a New Mode of Transporting them North". This latter article is from Richmond has near the beginning a strong Southern bias: "...The supposition has been verified that we have abolition emissaries in our midst, poisoning the minds of our slaves & inducing them to escape from a life of servitude, (where the Negro ever enjoys the greatest comforts) to Norther  sections where every hand is raised against him & where poverty, misery and hunger continually hand around his neck." (see).
Single sheet, great wealth of ads, a water stain in the bottom half, generally nice.
