This 40 page newspaper has two column headlines on page 36: "Kroll Shatters Course Standard at San Diego" and "Fire Seven-Under 65 for Three-Stroke Lead; Louis Becomes First Negro to Play in PGA Event"
This was the official report on allowing Negroes to participate in the PGA. The following tournament in Phoenix AZ allowed a African American by the name of Charlie Sifford to try to qualify for the PGA event.
