UNITED STATES' GAZETTE, FOR THE COUNTRY, Philadelphia, October 27, 1806  The back page has an interesting advertisement headed: "LOTS & LANDS In and Near Wellsborough, the County Town of Tioga, State of Pennsylvania, FOR SALE..." with further particulars. The text begins: "The County town of Tioga, called Wellsborough, having been established by an act of the Legislature on that part of the lands of the subscriber on which he resides...offers to the first ten families who shall purchase and reside in the said County Town the following advantageous terms...Their choice of one lot each at 20 dollars..." with more (see photos). One of the signatures of the ad is Benjamin Morris, one of the original founders of the town of Wellsboro.
Complete in 4 pages, very nice, clean condition.
