MASSACHUSETTS CENTINEL, Boston, Aug. 15, 1787 Page 2 has a poem: "Of The President Of the Convention" concerning the Constitutional Convention which was going on in Philadelphia at that time. Page 3 has a fascinating little report concerning "The General Assembly of Franklin..." being an attempt to created a separate state so named which ultimately failed (see). Pg. 3 also has a bit noting: "...that Congress have promoted Col. Harmer, now Commandant of the troops stationed at the Western posts on the Ohio, to the rank of Brigadier-General..."
