PHILADELPHIA MERCANTILE ADVERTISER, June 2, 1814 The heraldic eagle engraving in the masthead has a nearly 7 inch wing span (see). The entire front page is taken up with ads, and the inside pages have a few bits concerning the War of 1812, including: "...U.S. sloop of war Wasp...they were all well on board & that they had just fallen in with the French brig Olivier..." & other items.
