THE LIBERATOR, Boston, Feb. 21, 1862 This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by William Lloyd Garrison with an ornate masthead which features a scene of a slave auction and a scene of slaves being emancipated. Among the items within are: "Letter To the People of the North" which begins: "In this hour of national peril have twenty million of free men nothing to do but to stand & watch to see what a few men at Washington will do?..." with much more (see); "Emancipation By Act of Congress" "Address To the People of Georgia" "Our Duties to the Slave" " "Surrender of Fort Donelson--Capture of Generals Johnston & Buckner & 15,000 Prisoners" "Prayer of a Contraband" & much more.
