Almost the entire front page is taken up with Abraham Lincoln's annual state-of-the-union address, taking up 5 of the 6 columns and signed by him in type: Abraham Lincoln. The top of the first column has: "PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE" "The Executive's Views and Recommendations" "An Increase of Naval Force on the Great Lakes" "The Constitutional Abolishment of Slavery Recommended" "The War to Cease when Those who Began it lay Down Their Arms" and more (see). As might be imagined, this last annual address of the Civil War, and Lincoln's last as well, has a great deal of content on his thoughts as the end drew near. Great reading.
The last columns is taken up with the: "Report of The Secretary of the Treasury" which carries over to take most of the bkpg. and a portion of page 4.
Complete in 8 pages, slightly irregular at the blank spine margin, very nice, clean condition.
