THE STAR, Raleigh, North Carolina, March 6, 1812

* Very early & rare Southern title
* Illustrated slave advertisements

An early & rare issue from North Carolina. The front page is filled with ads including an illustrated: "Twenty Five Dollars Reward" for a runaway slave. Other ftpg. ads are headed: "Land and Negroes for Sale" "Negroes For Sale" "Fifteen Dollars Reward" and more. Other news of the day.
Four pages, the entire issue protected with an archival overlay, with a white strip down the gutter of the back leaf touching some letters but not causing loss of readability.
