* Pre Revolutionary War tensions
Page 2 has a nice report mentioning in part: "...that the merchants and traders of Philadelphia have published their resolutions of abiding by their non-importation agreement..." with more on this controversial issue (see photos). Another page has reports concerning non-importation. Included is a letter from Philadelphia to New York which notes: "...sorry to find...that a majority of your city have determined to break your non-importation agreement; a measure which we think will be prejudicial to your own & the liberties of all America..." with more (see photos).
An item on the back page as well concerning closing down fishing on the banks off the American coast (see photos). Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, great condition.
