Reports from the Civil War, in a newspaper from the Confederate capital...

Item # 586632 DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, 1862  Not only is this a nice newspaper from the Confederacy, but it is from the capital of the Confederate States at the time, the city through which all news reports would be sure to flow.
This issue has various war reports on the inside pages, typically with a very anti-North bias, as would be expected. Page 2 also has an interesting editorial which was pro-South. There are also reports from the Confederate Congress as well. Many advertisements and a few military notices are found in the issue as well.
Complete as a four page newspaper, never bound nor trimmed (desired), just as it was sold on the streets during the Civil War. Nice condition. The image is representative of what you will receive. Actual dates will vary within 1862.
