From its latter years of publication when it was a folio size newspaper, larger than the more commonly found issues of 1767-8. Among the items on page 3 are a letter from Phila. with: "...I find some people here are evading the Resolution of your merchants. Large quantities of goods now are shipping for Maryland, which are intended for your place & New York..." and a note from Providence: "...the merchants & traders of Providence are to have a meeting this afternoon relative to the Non Importation of British manufactures." Also at a meeting of the freeholds of Boston is a report noting in part: "...requested of his Excellency Sir Francis Bernard...that the 14th or some other regiment may be detained in this town in order to protect their lives & properties...that the residence of a militia is...quite disagreeable to the inhabitants..." with more related reports (see).
Most of the back page is taken up with: "The following is said to be the Substance of the RESOLVES unanimously passed by the Honourable House of Representatives of Massachusetts Bay..." which includes over two columns of "Resolves" passed, a few of which include: "...that Governor Bernard in wantonly dissolving the last year's Assembly...acted against the spirit of a free constitution..." and "That this House do concur...that no man can be justly taxed by, or bound in conscience to obey any law to which he has not given his consent..." and "That the establishing a standing army in this colony in a time of peace without the consent of the General Assembly...is an invasion of the natural rights of the people..." and much more (see for portions).
Complete in 4 pages, never bound nor trimmed, great condition.
