Page 3 has several small notes concerning the 1849 gold rush to California, including: "...As soon as the steamship California arrived at San Francisco her crew started for the mines...Gold was as abundant as ever & several new placers had been discovered..." & "...had arrived at Mazatlan from San Francisco with 15,000 ounces of gold from the placers..." and "...that another placer had been discovered in Lower California, which bid fair to rival in richness those of the Sacramento...". There is also a list of: "California Ships Spoken, Etc.". The back page has: "Married, and Gone to California".
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, some wear at the folds & margins, generally good.
