This small size newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the 19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
Page 3 has an article which begins: "The Jews are building a new synagogue at Philadelphia--it is now under roof. In the south east corner stone was deposited the coins of the country, and a plate with the following inscription..." with more (see).
There is also much reporting from Congress in this issue. Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 1/2 inches, scattered foxing, good condition.
