WORCESTER DAILY TRANSCRIPT, Massachusetts, May 30, 1865 Most of a column on page 2 is taken up with: "President Johnson's Amnesty Proclamation" issued at the end of the Civil War as part of his "Restoration" or reconstruction plan to reunite the states. This was a significant document towards achieving that end. Signed in type by him: Andrew Johnson. Following this document is reports on the: "Trial of the Conspirators".
Four pages, irregular at the spine with some loss to blank margin, otherwise very nice condition.
