* Tea tensions in America
* To Import or not

Inside has a great item headed "America" reporting on a meeting of merchants in New York to determine whether to continue with their non-importation policy given that England has repealed the tax on all goods except tea. Included is: "The Advertisement" noting the situation and urging those to agree to import once again EXCEPT for tea, and asking for the concurrence of Boston & Philadelphia (see photos). One portion notes: "...we do also agree not to receive or import any of the said articles until after the said first of Dec. next: And whereas the duty on tea still remains unrepealed we do hereby also further agree that we will not import from Great Britain any tea until the said duty be taken off...".
This is followed by a report from Newport, Rhode Island concerning non-importation (see photos).
This is complete in 8 pages and in nice condition with a full red tax stamp on the last page.
