This is a genuine Civil War newspaper from Abraham Lincoln's administration with one column headlines which include: "M'CLELLAN'S ARMY", "Important Movements on James River", "The Flotilla Under the Command of Captain Wilkes", "The President Looking After the Interests of the Army and the Union", "The White House Slander", "General Burnside's Corps", "SKIRMISH AT SWIFT CREEK BRIDGE" and more.

Complete in eight pages. This issue is not fragile as newsprint from this era had high cotton/linen content allowing them to remain pliable and easy to handle. Minor spine wear, otherwise very nice condition.
