* Early Santa Claus illustration
The very first article is a poem: "The Legend of the Mistletoe" which features a nice engraving of Santa Claus with Cupid on his shoulder (see photos). The poem continues to take the next 3 pages with one other illustration. An uncommon print of Santa Claus in the Thomas Nast style.
Also in this issue is an illustrated article: "Holland & the Hollanders" and a non-illustrated article: "A Merry Christmas" and so much more.
Still in the original outer wrappers which are town with some tears & minor loss. Never bound nor trimmed, mostly loose at the spine, interior pages in nice condition. Measures 6 1/2 by 10 inches.
