DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, Jan. 7, 1862  Not just a nice newspaper from the Confederacy, but from its capital as well. The front page contains: "From the South Carolina Coast" "Terrible Exploit of a Rifled Cannon Ball" "Barbarians of the Sea" and some smaller heads: "Traitors in Richmond--What We Get by Releasing Yankee Prisoners" "Our Released Prisoners" "The Blockade of the Potomac" "Federal Hospitals at St. Louis" 'Fight In Kentucky--Ominous Silence" and more carrying over to page 2.
Most of page 2 is taken up with political reports while page 3 has a mix of ads, local news, and war-related items. Some of the small heads include: "Telegraphic News" "Incendiaries Sent South" "Reported Death of a Soldier" "A Notable War Club" "Military Promotions & a few other item. Over half of the bkpg. is taken up with 21 Acts of the Confederate Congress, many relating to the Civil War.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed (desired), very nice condition.
