The character of Bonaparte had recently been attacked and this article is "...introduced for the purpose of shewing the propriety of the epithets which he has applied to it, will be perused with interest as well as advantage." Another front page article is on Gallant Action in the Mediterranean" of His Majestys' Ship, Spartan, from Malta. Page 2 has "End of the Dutch Nation" which is reporting that the English papers contain the Decree of Napoleon annexing Holland to the French Empire.
