Some addresses were given by Gen. Mead, Gen. Barlow, Ralph Emerson, Gen. Force and others with poems delivered by Julia Ward Howe, Dr. Oliver Holmes and others. Page two reports "Restoration in Georgia - A Proclamation by Gov. Johnson - Important Speech at macon - Slavery Utterly Extinguished". Also on page five is the report of "Base Ball - Eureka vs. Keystone - A Signal Victory For the Eureka Nine - Score 50 to 11" which also includes the box score.
