Page 5 has a noteworthy article headed: "Canyons of The Colorado" "Report of a Government Explorer--Descent of the "Rapids--Fertile Valley West of the Rocky Mountain Range--Rich Mineral Deposits" which is the report of Samuel Adams (signed by him: see). Also on pg. 5 is: "Colonel Powell in Chicago--Successful Exploration of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado--A Walled River Four Hundred Miles Long".
Some great, early content on exploration of the West. Six of 8 pages, missing the back leaf which affects nothing of the above, otherwise very nice condition.
