FARMER"S MUSEUM, or LITERARY GAZETTE, Walpole, New Hampshire, August 3, 1802 A page 2 report that some of the paintings owned by George Washington will be offered at a sale at Mount Vernon. Page two also contains extracts of Callender's "Prospect Before Us". Additional coverage has a message from "A Poor Man" re: Jefferson's poor handling of the people's money. The issue is complete in 4 pages, has scattered foxing, but is in overall good condition.
Note: James Callender is the one who accused Thomas Jefferson of fathering children with his slave, Sally Hemings.
