INDEPENDENT DEMOCRAT & FREEMAN, Concord, New Hampshire, November 18, 1847  The front page of this issue contains a report "The Piety of the Camp" which is from the Head Quarters Army, National Palace, Mexico, September 15th, 1847, which is signed H. O. Scott, A.A.A.G. This is then followed by a lengthy editorial on the mindset of the Commander-in-chief of the army in Mexico and the crimes and bloodshed that occurs. There are a variety of articles and numerous advertisements, some of which are illustrated in this issue as well.

This is complete in four pages, which stray handwriting above the masthead, a few small edge tears and a slight irregular spine. There is also the remains of a substance at the beginning of the masthead.
