March 24, 1759
THE EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, March 24, 1759 A nice issue from the French & Indian War, with related content on page 2 beginning: "General Amherst, attentive to prevent those delays that have proved so fatal to our arms in America, wrote to Governor Denny of Pennsylvania...that although he had not as yet received any particular orders relative to the operations of the ensuing campaign, he imagined the same number of Provincial troops would be required..." with much more (see). Above this is: "Plantation News" with reports from New York and Boston (see). Page 2 also has: "According to letters from Philadelphia, General Forbes hath left at Fort Duquesne 200 of the Pennsylvania troops & a proportionable number of Virginians & Marylanders to protect the country..." and a bit more (see).
Four pages, light dirtiness to the top third of the ftpg. only, most of the red ink tax stamp on the ftpg. is still present, generally very nice condition.
