This is an interesting and somewhat short-lived newspaper which came into existence for the expressed purpose of reporting news from the War of 1812.  When the war ended so did this newspaper. The front page is taken up with: "OFFICIAL--Copies of Letters from Brig. General Hull to the Dept. of War..." with the report datelined Detroit, 13th of Aug. & signed by him in type: Wm. Hull.  Also on the front page: "Indian Depredations" with more carrying over to page 2. The other war-related news in this issue include "Skirmishing on the Lines" "Admiral Warren's Squadron" "Marine Memoranda", and the back page has several letters signed in type by D. Porter with some nice naval reports. Complete in 4 pages, various foxing throughout & some minor wear at folds.
