This 22 page newspaper has a nice six column headline on the front page of the sport's section (inside): "WILSON SHATTERS RECORD" with subheads (see photos).

Summary of the game and the box score, plus a small photo of Lewis "Hack" Wilson.

Wilson would ultimately hit 56 homers for the season and his record would last until 1998 when it was broken by Mark McGwire. (National League record)

Other news of the day throughout including period advertising. This issue has light browning with minor spine wear, otherwise in good condition.
