THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, March 22, 1774

* Revolutionary War prelude

Most of the front page is taken up with a letter datelined "Boston, New England, Feb. 3, 1774" concerning an address of various named men in Boston to the governor & which begins: "Your Excellency is pleased to inform us that you are 'required to signify to the Houses his Majesty's disapprobation of the appointment of Committees of Correspondence in various instances which sit & act during the recess of the General court by prorogation..." with much more.
Page 2 has most of a column taken up with an "Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman at Boston to his Correspondent in London Relative to the late destruction of the tea." which provides some interesting reading including: "...demonstrates that the Ministry do, & intend to persevere in their taxation system...the consignees to send back the tea, but to no effect..." with more (se\e)

Another page provides an historical reference  taking close to half a page, concerning relations with the colonists going back to the 1600's (see). Other news of the day, complete in 8 pages, very nice condition.
