THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, August 26, 1773 Over half a page is taken up with further discussion of the controversial letters of Mr. Hutchinson, governor of Massachusetts and a devout Loyalist, as his comments relate to the problems with collecting revenues and the seizure of John Hancock's ship "Liberty", portions including: "...they give an account of a riot at Boston upon the seizure of a smuggling vessel belonging to Mr. Hancock, a principal supporter of the party...The letters mention the combination at Boston against taking our goods..." with much more (see).
The facing page has another letter from Boston, 1768, concerning the Hutchinson letters (see). And another page has a: "Message from the council to the Governor" at Boston relating to the Hutchinson letters taking close to two columns (see for portions).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, nice condition.
