"Confederate States Of America" Civil War bond. This is a very nice $500 bond authorized by the Confederate government on February 20, 1863 paying 8 per cent per year for five years. Still attached are 8 of the $20 six month coupons attached. Includes a nice vignette of C.G. Memminger, the first Secretary of the Treasury for the Confederacy.
Very ornate and quite decorative, measures 12 by 13 1/2 inches inches and is in very nice condition.
