THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, November 11, 1758

An inside page has a nice account from the French & Indian War concerning the events of General Forbes near Fort DuQuesne, now the Pittsburgh area. Portions include: "...that Gen. Forbes, with the main of the army, was still at Ray's town, about 90 miles from Fort Du Quesne...Major Grant had posted his men, saw the enemy advancing towards them: the Major kept his post in order to fight them; they advanced and received his fire...The engagement was very sharp for three hours...The loss of the enemy we don't know..." with more (see), the entire article taking over half a column.

Complete in 8 pages and in excellent condition.
