MOTHER LODE MAGNET, Jamestown, California, September 14, 1898

One of the best titles for a mining town to be found! This is a scarce newspaper, from northern California. The town still exists with a population of about 3000.

The contents are very wide ranging from news of the day to literary items to a wealth of interesting advertisements. Page 2 has: "Rough Riders Disband" and pg. 3 includes: "Local Laconics" with a wide range of local events (see for portions), and much more.

Complete in four pages, very light, even browning, several discrete archival mends to pgs. 2 & 3 causing no loss of readability, generally in very nice, clean condition.
