THE WEEKLY DENVER TIMES, Colorado, July 5, 1882
The front page has nice reporting on the hanging of Charles Guiteau, with column heads at the top of the page: "CURTAIN" "The Last Act in America's Greatest Tragedy" "Charles Jules Guiteau Expiates His Heinous Crime" "At 12:40 p.m. Friday the Voice of Justice Spake" "And the Spirit of President Garfield's Assassin" "Winged Its Flight to the Judgment Seat" with many subheads. The coverage is extremely detailed with much on his preparations just before the hanging, etc. The text takes over half of the front page. Included also is a print captioned: "Charles Jules Guiteau. Executed at Washington Friday for the Assassination of President Garfield."
