December 09, 1848
THE WEEKLY HERALD, New York, NY, December 9, 1848
The entire front page and most of pg. 2 are taken up with: "The Annual Message of the President of The United States" which contains a great wealth of text concerning the events of 1848. Not surprisingly there is much concerning the conclusion of the Mexican War, and text concerning the discovery of gold in California. The address is signed on pg. two: James K. Polk.
Complete in 8 pgs., some glue residue from the binding process at the far left edge of pg. 1 disfigures some words, otherwise in very nice condition.
