* Early in the war - pre Bull Run

A nice feature of this issue is the printing of: "Confederate States of America" which appears in the dateline. The entire ftpg. is taken up with ads.
Page 2 has various news reports including one beginning: "It is difficult to obtain any definite news from the North...Are there spies at the South? Are there spies in the camp at Manassas Junction?..." with suspicions there are because of New York Herald reports (see).
Also on pg. 2: "An Important Document--Jeff Davis Letter of Marque" "A Late Incident at Fort Morgan" and a few other items relating to the Civil War.
Most of a column on pg. 3 is taken up with: "Effects of the War on Business". Page 4 is mostly taken up with ads but does have some other reports.
Complete in 4 pages in very nice, clean condition. Nice to have a Confederate newspaper in great shape and at a relatively low price.
