March 19, 1767
THE PENNSYLVANIA GAZETTE, Philadelphia, March 19, 1767 The masthead features a nice engraving of a coat-of-arms, making this a displayable issue. A nice issue from colonial Pennsylvania just 8 years before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. And this is the newspaper once owned by Benjamin Franklin, his imprint appearing on the newspaper up through 1765.
Various content with news of the day from this period, and many ads as well. Page 2 has a piece concerning exploring the western parts of the colonies, and page 3 has a lengthy item concerning relations between England and America (see photos). This is a nice "slice of life" issue from the colonial period, at a reasonable price.
Tiny binding holes at the spine margin not affecting any text, otherwise complete in 4 pages and in great condition.
