* Reverend Henry Ward Beecher
* Jewish - Jews - Judaica support

Page 4 has a report headed: "Persecution Of The Jews" "Review of The Petition To Bismarck" which takes over 1 1/2 columns. This is an address of: "..the Rev. Henry Ward Beecher's protest against the persecution of the Jews in Germany....I have been asked to unite with other ministers of the Gospel in a respectful remonstrance against the incipient steps which are now being taken against the Jews in Germany..." with much more. The photos show about half of the article. Other news of the day.

Complete in 16 pages, somewhat fragile at the margins, generally nice.

wikipedia notes: Henry Ward Beecher (June 24, 1813 – March 8, 1887) was a prominent, Congregationalist clergyman, social reformer, abolitionist, and speaker in the mid to late 19th century. An 1875 adultery trial in which he was accused of having an affair with a married woman was one of the most famous American trials of the 19th century. In 2007, The Most Famous Man in America: A Biography of Henry Ward Beecher by Debby Applegate won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography.
