April 16, 1745

THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, April 16, 1745  The front page has a report from Vienna which states, "...in about 10 Days Prince Charles will put himself at the Head of the Army in Selesia, which is already in motion."  This not Bonnie Prince Charlie.  The back page has an account re: the Southwell Privateer, under the command of Captain John Wingfield.  Yet another report mentions the Monmouth, late commanded by Captain Charles Windham. This issue is complete in four pages measuring approximately 7 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches. Some scattered word underlining throughout the issue, otherwise it is in very good condition. The issue also contains a partial red ink-stamp.
