On page 2 under an engraving of an eagle & shield is a report headed: "The Presidential Election" that begins:
* We have the pleasure of this day laying before our readers several returns of Elections which place the re-elevation of James Madison to the Presidency of the United States....
More,plus an estimate of the results showing Madison with 137 votes & DeWitt Clinton with 81. A few other charts with election returns. Nice to have in the Washington paper.
Other news of the day throughout. Some foxing with little margin wear, otherwise in good condition.
