Inside a nice full page illustration of young boy in his pajamas tacking his Christmas stocking to the mantle of a fireplace, with a cameo of Santa Claus in the fire screen.
The illustration, done by Thomas Nast, is captioned: "'Twas The Night Before Christmas.' A Chance To Test Santa Claus' Generosity."
Also has a fullpg: "Christmas Eve--Getting Ready For Santa Claus" which shows black children by a fireplace.
Two nearly full page illustrations: "Stirring The Christmas Pudding" & "Christmas In A Home For The Poor."
