Newspapers from Hawaii from any period are very uncommon. Taking all of the upper right quarter of the front page of this issue are two portraits captioned:
* General Benjamin Harrison, Inaugurated March 4, 1889
and "Vice-President Levi P. Morton, Inaugurated March 4, 1889", plus textual sketches about each gentleman.
Uncommon to have such portraits on the front page. News of the day with advertisements.
Margins are a bit pulpish, has archival mends to some margin & spine tears, first leaf has a piece missing in the lower left corner, piece missing in the outer margin inside, otherwise good. Complete in 10 pages.
