THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, July, 1740 One of the prime features of this issue is the nice foldout map titled: "An Exact Draught of the Castle of San Lorenzo & Village & River of Chagre..." which is in present-day Panama (see). There is also a related article on this as well. This foldout map measures about 6 1/2 by 8 inches, and is in excellent condition.
Among the other interesting articles in this issue is one on the Guinea slave trade.
Has about 40 pages with a full title/contents page with a nice engraving of St. John's Gate. Measures about 5 by 8 1/4 inches and is also in excellent condition. This issue contains only one of the maps, noted above.
