LONDON CHRONICLE, from England, dated March 15, 1770 

* Protests against the Revenue Acts
* American colonists not to drink tea

Inside under "America" is a report from Boston stating:

* We are informed that upwards of 100 Ladies at the North part of this town, have of their own free will...signed an agreement not to drink any tea till the Revenue Acts are repealed (see photos). 

A letter from New York describes the outrage among the citizens because the soldiers destroyed the Liberty Pole there. Mentions a confrontation that occurred between Burling Slip and the Fly Market "...in confusion in this city; the soldiers have cut & blowed up Liberty Pole & have caused much trouble between the inhabitants... much blood was spilt....What will be the end of this God knows!" Certainly history knows, as there would soon be a Revolutionary War. (see photos). 

Also a letter from the Lieut. Governor telling the non-importing Merchants to halt their attempts to punish those who continue to sell goods imported from Great Britain.

Complete in 8 pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice, clean condition.
