HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, June 28, 1873 Certainly the prime print within this issue is the famous one done by Winslow Homer titled
* The Noon Recess (see photos).
This print has some spotting at the margins and a small archival mend on the corner of the reverse of this print, the tear not even close to the Homer print.
Other interesting prints in this issue is the front page: "The Modoc War--Captain Jack's Cave in the Lava Beds." and a full page: "The Modocs--Murder of General Canby." and a full page of an African-American dreaming captioned: "Way Down Upon the Swanee Ribber." and a full page: "The Creedmoor Rifle Range" among other prints.
