GAZETTE OF THE UNITED STATES, Philadelphia, Nov. 3, 1790 Page 2 contains a letter to the President from the residents of "Elizabethtown" (now known as Hagerstown, Maryland) upon his visit to their town, with his response signed in type: G. Washington. Close-trimmed at the top of pg. 3 affects a bit of type but is not even close to the pg. 2 Washington letter. Nice.
