* President Zachary Taylor's death : in a Washington, DC newspaper
Page 3 has articles headed: "The Funeral Of the late President" and "Scenes & Incidents in the Capital". Page 2 has a dispatch which begins: "I have to perform the melancholy duty of announcing to you that it has pleased Almighty God to remove from this life Zachary Taylor, late President of the United States..." with further details, and signed in type by the new President: Millard Fillmore.
Some very light damp staining, otherwise complete in 4 pages, and with wide black mourning rules around all 4 pages, and in nice condition. Great to have this content in a Washington newspaper.
