This issue has one of the nicer presentations of his famous Emancipation Proclamation we have seen in a newspaper, albeit on the back page, but the graphic appeal is nice (see photos) with the heading:
* A FREE REPUBLIC ! Proclamation of President Lincoln for the Emancipation of Slaves in all Rebellious States -- By the President of the United States -- A Proclamation
with the full text of this historic document following, and signed by him in type: Abraham Lincoln.
Next to his historic report is: "Our Loss at the Battle of Antietam" "Official Report" "The Line of the Potomac Clear of Rebels" and more.
Four pages, large folio size, great condition.
